A 75-year-old woman died after being stabbed during an alleged domestic incident in South London.
The woman was assaulted Friday afternoon at Ethnard Road in a residential address in Peckham. The death of this one was pronounced shortly after the arrival of the paramedics. The doctors said they had several stab wounds.
A 55-year-old man who knew the victim was arrested at the crime scene for murder. He was taken to a hospital in East London for treatment, then transferred to a police station in the south of the capital. He remains in detention.
The number of homicides committed in the capital so far in 2018 has already exceeded this number for the year 2017 and now stands at 120. During the week of October 31, five people, including three teenagers , have died.
Figures from the Home Office suggest that there were 118 murders in London in 2017, not to mention the 13 victims of the terrorists on Westminster Bridge, London Bridge and Finsbury Park.
