A woman whose violent arrest on a New Jersey beach early in the year was captured on video was charged last week.

Emily Weinman, 20, has been charged by a grand jury in Cape May County on charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, arrest resistance, injection of bodily fluids and obstruction.

THE WOMAN POCHEATED BY THE COP ON THE BEACH "REFUSED TO COMPLY": THE MAYOR OF NEW JERSEY SAID

Weinman, from Philadelphia, was on a Wildwood beach during the Memorial Day weekend with her boyfriend and 18-month-old daughter when police confronted her after thinking she was drinking too little.

What happened was captured on a police camera and in a video taken by a passenger near the beach.

Weinman bowed to a breathalyzer, but the situation worsened when she refused to give her name to the police officers. An officer could be heard saying that he "did it with" and worked with another cop to try to arrest the woman, showed the video.

She then ran away shouting blasphemies and telling the police not to handcuff her. "You are about to fall," replied the officer.

Weinman resisted the arrest and, as the officer continued to approach, she "punched" him in the chest, police chief Robert Regalbuto said. It was apparently reactivated when both fought in the sand.

More about this …

The officer gave the woman two punches – while voices were heard in the background shouting "stop resisting" – before Weinman spat in the direction of one of the officers.

Officers involved in the incident were identified by the Wildwood Police Service as patrollers Thomas Cannon, John Hillman and Robert Jordan. They were rid of wrongdoing after the authorities reviewed the video.

Weinman rejected an offer to bargain in July.
