WR Martavis Bryant re-signed with Oakland Raiders on a one-year contract

Receiver Martavis Bryant signs a one – year contract with the Oakland Raiders, said a source to Dan Graziano.

The Raiders had already released Bryant on the day of the end of the training because they were concerned about a possible suspension imposed by the league and needed the place on the list.

A source told Graziano that Bryant and the Raiders had discussed his possible signature again at the time of his release, and that he was still "waiting" for a possible suspension.

Adam Schefter, of ESPN, reported over the weekend that Bryant was facing a one – year suspension for his latest violation of the NFL 's drug policy. The NFL is considering the issue and could make its decision as early as this week, a source told Schefter.

ESPN reported earlier this month that Bryant had violated the league's drug policy sometime during the off season.

Bryant's last setback took into account the Raiders decision to cut him just four months after trading a third round pick, the 79th selection, against the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire the talented but struggling receiver.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden said on September 2: "Maybe we will have Martavis again next year and we will be able to make the most of it".

Bryant, 26, was suspended for the entire 2016 season for violating the NFL's drug policy, but returned in 50 receptions for 603 yards and three touchdowns last season.

NFL Network first reported that Bryant and the Raiders were together.
