FAIRBORN – Flu shots, lifestyle projections, benefits information and chair massages will be available for employees at Wright State University as part of a health fair organized by Students of Nursing and Health.

The event, also presented by the Human Resources Department, will be held on Wednesday, October 24 in the Student Union's Apollo Hall from 10 am to 4 pm

The health fair was organized and will be led by high-level nursing students enrolled in the public health nursing course. Students study topics related to the role of the Public Health Nurse and in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health programs, health education, promotion of public health, and health promotion. health, screening and vaccination against mass influenza.

The fair will offer free flu vaccines for Wright State employees eligible for benefits and lifestyle screenings including blood pressure, blood glucose, oxygen and body mass index. Health education sessions on diabetes, stroke, nutrition, smoking, circulation, breast cancer and prostate cancer will also be offered.

Free seven-minute chair massages will be offered by Dayton School of Medical Massage students.

In addition, Anthem and Castlight, Wright Medical Services Provider, HORAN Benefits Consultant and Human Resources staff will be available to provide benefits information and answer questions from 10:00 to 14:00.
