It's official – Becky Lynch will not fight Ronda Rousey on Sunday at Survivor Series.

SmackDown Live opened this week with a recap of the last moments of Monday evening, where Lynch led the women's division of SmackDown in a sneak attack on Raw's women's lineup. As reported by Fightful on Tuesday afternoon, WWE confirmed that Lynch had a "broken face" and a serious concussion after being hit by Nia Jax during the fight.

The commentators even had a slow-motion snippet of the plan where Lynch was hit, although videos of Jax's punch taken by fans in the arena had already circulated on social media. Tom Phillips added that a new opponent for Rousey would be determined later in the evening.

The champion-versus-champion fight between Rousey and Lynch was originally announced after the two women had successfully defended their Championships at Evolution Pay. The two men then exchanged verbal announcements with promos over a period of weeks, which allowed Lynch to attack Rousey in Raw's locker room on Monday and lock her in the Disarmor.

Other champion-versus-champion games announced on Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles include Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, WWE Champion AJ Styles, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura , and Raw Tag Team. SmackDown, team champions, Sheamus and Cesaro.

Lynch's popularity has exploded in recent months since she attacked Charlotte Flair as a result of their three-game threat involving the women's champion of SmackDown, Carmella at Summer slam in August. Flair won the match by hitting Lynch with Natural Selection from behind, which prompted Lynch to take on his former friend after the two shook hands. This led to a league match at Hell in a cell, that Lynch has surprisingly won.

Although many of her tactics during her title run were hot on the heels, she became one of WWE's most popular wrestlers.

"It's been incredible, but we've been playing for a long time," Lynch said in an interview last October about his thrust. "It was built from so much frustration as a human, character, as a person. If you are not in this category to be the best and the best dog, then what is the I think it's the same thing in life It's often happened to me to feel neglected and you're wondering why.You are doing everything right, but your time is running out. WWE cyclical in the world … sometimes you feel depressed.I felt like I had been too long. The crowd had the impression that I had been too long.
