Monday Night Raw will take place tonight from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Seth Rollins announced last night that he is launching an open challenge for the intercontinental championship. Rollins must already defend his title in three weeks to Dean against Ambrose, who introduced Rollins last week with a low shot and Dirty Deeds.
Three other matches have also been announced for tonight. AOP will defend its team championships against Chad Gable and Bobby Roode. Gable and Roode won last week a quick victory over AOP in a match against the title.
In addition, Finn Balor will be opposed to Baron Corbin, Acting Director General, and Elias, to Bobby Lashley. Balor and Elias were both eliminated by Corbin, Lashley and Drew McIntyre in the last week's six-player elimination match before the heel team also outgrew Braun Strowman.
View summary –
Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush were all in the ring to start the show. Lashley wore a leather jacket that matched his shades and headband.
Corbin ripped the crowd to be drunk on Thanksgiving's face. He said guys like them did not do that because they took care of their bodies to maintain optimal physical performance. McIntyre was grateful for defeating Braun Strowman last week and a replay of Corbin. Corbin said the "mutilated monster" would no longer be around.
They showed a video of Strowman in Birmingham, Alabama, waiting for an elbow operation. Strowman said he preferred to be in Milwaukee at the moment and said that what would have happened to him would be nothing compared to what he would have done to the three indomitable cowards who "would get those hands".
Corbin said his match with Strowman at TLC was still planned, but that Strowman could not participate and that he would therefore be appointed permanent general manager. He advised all those present in the locker room to wisely choose their side and be on the right side of the story. The lights went out and they were interrupted by Elias. Renee Young shouted, "Yes!" When he appeared.
Elias said he was tired of hearing Corbin's voice. He said Rush would be a better GM than Corbin, even if it would violate child labor laws. Even Drake Maverick, who's "pissed off" would be better. He also had a song for Bobby "Trashley". Elias invited the crowd to sing "Bobby Lashley, it's bad" before heading to the ring for their match.
Bobby Lashley (with Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Lio Rush) defeated Elias
A distraction from McIntyre allowed Lashley to put Elias in the post before the break. After the break, Elias was in return mode. He hit a knee high and a diving elbow and seemed to have won the match, but Rush removed the referee from the ring. The referee asked for a QD, but Corbin announced that the match was actually not a QD and that it was resumed.
Lashley took control but Elias fought back until Corbin pulled him out of the ring. Elias fought him and grabbed his guitar, but before he could use it on Lashley, Corbin attacked it from behind. Lashley destroyed the guitar while the crowd chanted "Corbin is bad".
Corbin hit Elias with the steel chair a few times, then they ganged up on him, kicking Claymore by McIntyre. McIntyre then gave Elias an Alabama Reverse Slam on the steel steps, which was wonderful. Lashley then went around the ring and speared Elias, which they thought was an attempt to make fun of Strowman.
They sent Elias back into the ring and Lashley made a nonchalant cover for the win at dusk. Rush announced that Lashley was the winner. The heels posed in victory. Corbin will face Finn Balor later tonight.
The initial match time (before QD) was 9:22. The match was 1:47.
Behind the scenes, Corbin fired a machinist, likely to have allowed Elias to halt his segment. Alexa Bliss came forward and said that he had made the right call. She offered her help for anything. Corbin accepted her offer and entrusted it to the entire women's division. Bliss agreed and they shook hands. Young reprimanded this decision as Bliss is still an active member of the division.
They showed a video of Dean Ambrose earlier in the day in a doctor's office. Ambrose said he did not intend to expose himself to a landfill like Milwaukee and that he feared being surrounded by supporters during the flu season. Ambrose asked a doctor to administer various vaccines against dysentery, typhoid and distemper. He also did not want to come to Houston next week without being vaccinated against rabies.
Ambrose promised to do the merciful thing to TLC and put Rollins out of his misfortune for good. Corey Graves interviewed Young about Ambrose. She replied, "You know as well as I do that he's a complicated guy. It's hard to try to penetrate it. I live with the guy, I do not always know what he thinks. So, sorry, I do not always have an answer for you, guys. "
3-on-2 Handicap Match: Lucha House Beat The Revival (2:32)
Before the game, the Revival said it was taken aback last week when it heard about the new rules. They said that Lucha House Party did not respect the rules and the fight by etiquette, which has a certain label – like golf. He said that an occasional golf shot was acceptable, but did not chant "Lucha" at the top of his voice, which led to the quietest song of all time.
JoJo announced that the match would be played according to Lucha House rules, which still surprised Revival. Graves said that he had spoken to Corbin who had said he did not approve of these rules. After a brief revival offensive, Lucha House Party went to town and traded the finishers against Scott Dawson until Lince Dorado finished it with a shooting star press.
They played a video for Lars Sullivan. Michael Cole has described Sullivan as the most wanted free agent in the history of the WWE. He said Stephanie and Shane McMahon had both asked for his services.
Nia Jax promo
Nia Jax and Tamina came to the ring. Earlier, they showed a cover of Jax hitting Becky Lynch. Jax said Raw's lineup was grateful for leading the team to victory. She was grateful for breaking Lynch's face, then boasted of concussion. She then went to Ronda Rousey with a very light song "you can not fight" started.
Jax claimed that Rousey's career was in free fall since she fought against Money in the Bank. She showed replicas of their match, then what happened to Rousey at the hands of Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series (five months after MITB). Jax then made a mocking promo by making an impression of Rousey. She said Rousey has not had her worst day yet.
Jax said she was herself on all throws, winning the battle of the Royal Evolution, leading Raw to victory and smashing Lynch's face. She said that the top of the mountain belonged to her. Fortunately, Rousey interrupted him. Rousey started to speak but stopped to let the crowd sing for her.
Rousey said it was not luck that Jax won the title, but his punch was lucky to hit the right person. (I'm paraphrasing.) Her phrasing was a lot more clumsy than that.) Rousey said she would rip Jax's arm and hit Charlotte with her face. Rousey said she was always ready to fight and challenged Jax for the moment.
Jax said no and she had not finished washing Lynch's blood from her hand. Jax said she was not making excuses, she was just trying to save time. Tamina was standing behind Rousey and they were ready to attack, but Natalya's music hit and she ran out. She was cut off by the Riott Brigade, but Rousey did the rescue and sent them packing. Rousey helped Natalya. This was not good.
Behind the scenes, Drake Maverick said the fans had never faced a real scare, as when he found himself face to face with a giant 7 feet. He added that fear made all the cowards afraid and that he wanted Chad Gable and Bobby Roode to do the experiment tonight. Akam and Rezar added, "laugh now, cry later."
AOP (with Drake Maverick) defeated Chad Gable and Bobby Roode to retain the team titles (8:26)
As soon as the match started, Roode was distracted by Maverick who was focusing on his outer dress to allow AOP to take control. Later, Maverick left dressed in the dress, which also distracted Roode. After a break, AOP controlled Gable. They cut a shot behind the scenes of Maverick, posing in the dress in front of a mirror.
Roode came back and managed to take control, but Maverick appeared on the big screen. Maverick pushed Roode into the toilet, then pissed on it. A loud sound of redness played as Roode watched furiously. The AO attacked from behind and hit a powerbomb / neckbreaker combo for the win. It was awful.
Behind the scenes, Bliss was trying to manage with Sasha Banks and Bayley, but they had disheveled. Bliss acted sincerely and said that she wished that they go into the ring and organize an open forum by answering questions from the WWE Universe. Bayley said that she did not want anything to do with anything else "It's your life". Bliss said it was not that, she just wanted fans to get to know them better.
Becky Lynch returns to Smackdown tomorrow and AJ Styles meets Daniel Bryan.
Balor made a selfie promo. He understood that he would risk consequences if he did not side with Corbin. He knew that people thought he was putting his career at risk by standing up to a megalomaniac, obsessed with self-obsession, at the underpinnings, but, in his opinion, he would put his career in jeopardy if he did not do it. not. He said that he would get up and fight for what he thought was the good side of the story.
Ember Moon (with Curt Hawkins) def. Alicia Fox (with Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers) (1:53)
Hawkins is Moon's new partner in the Mixed Match Challenge. Graves said Corbin was punishing her for aligning with Strowman. Fox won most of the match, but Moon still won with Eclipse. Hawkins celebrated as he had won the match. Then, No Way Jose danced with his conga line and they then threatened us with No Way Jose vs. Mahal.
Jinder Mahal (w / The Singh Brothers) defeated No Way Jose (4:23).
It was basically a squash with Mahal winning after a Khalla. It was No Way Jose's first match since July.
There was a sponsored video package from Booker T and Goldust, which was the highlight of Raw so far.
Seth Rollins came into the ring welcomed everyone at Monday Night Rollins. He said he was not himself lately, but it was time to do what he does best and be a champion in the fight. He had finished running around Ambrose, and no amount of vaccines would make him immune to Rollins.
Despite what Ambrose had said earlier, Rollins knew he was probably prowling somewhere in the building, but he did not care, and challenged him. Dolph Ziggler is out. Ziggler said Rollins would start doing what he does best: lose to him. Ziggler said that he was the best in the world and that he would again be champion of the IC.
Seth Rollins beat Dolph Ziggler to retain the intercontinental title (20:40)
Rollins was in control before a break, Ziggler in control after and controlled until the next break. Back from the break, after 13 minutes of play, the two men were injured after Rollins hit a clothesline during the advertisement.
Rollins followed with a clothesline for slingblade, boot, enziguri and springboard. Rollins fought Ziggler from the top rope but missed a frog splash and Ziggler followed with a fameasser for two. Ziggler applied a sleeper but Rollins was folded over him and followed him with a superkick for two. Rollins missed twice with a sidewalk and Ziggler followed with a Zig-Zag for an imminent approach.
Ziggler got ready for a superkick but Rollins did not get up. Ziggler was taunting him and hitting him. Rollins wrapped Ziggler for a close fall. Ziggler followed immediately with a peak DDT. Ziggler went to the top, then Rollins popped up and nailed a superplex on a falcon arrow for victory at the shrine. Rollins celebrated by swinging the title around.
Nothing happened during the first 13-14 minutes, but the action went smoothly thereafter. I liked the fact that Rollins won with the superplex / falcon arrow.
