Sometimes, too many good things are exactly that.
The WWE's insistence on viewers' fatigue for a long feud between The Shield and The Dogs of War, which apparently produces several matches between them on every episode of Raw, has spoiled what had earned three Monday's sports entertainment . Instead, the episode was littered with gluttony in repeat matches – including the same main event for the second week in a row – and consternations about the tension between the two teams that, as it was possible to do so, was a good one. to wait there, will be repaired the following week. Apart from the drama surrounding the shield, Ronda Rousey realized what was probably his best promotion since coming to the WWE in a very hot segment, facing the Bella Twins, and Kurt Angle came back once again to double Baron Corbin.

Shield of Chien of War's endless quarrel continues
Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler opened the show by explaining how they exposed Dean Ambrose's problems with the shield. "I hate to say that I told you," McIntyre said, "but I told you so, we broke the shield." McIntyre and Ziggler then exposed their own problems by wondering who would win if they met at the World Cup at Crown Jewel on November 2nd. After Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins clashed, Ziggler tearing them apart for Ambrose's absence, Rollins explained that "The Lunatic Fringe" was simply running at its own pace, as usual.
Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre via countout (World Cup qualifying match): Ziggler's presence and the constant threat of distractions played a big role in the match. Rollins made consecutive suicide dives on both heels on either side of the ring, but his attempt to adjust the footprint allowed Ziggler to pull the top rope for flying. Ambrose out of the crowd to attack the heels. Rollins then hit McIntyre and joined the ring just in time to win via countout before he and Ambrose got ready by celebrating. Later backstage, Ambrose blamed Rollins for saying that he "always shows up at a crazy hour" and ran away angrily.
Dolph Ziggler def. Dean Ambrose via pinfall (World Cup Qualifying Match): Rollins countered McIntyre's early attempt to intervene by running to attack him. Ambrose then got rid of Rollins' attempt to help him, entered the ring and went into a superkick allowing Ziggler to score the pin. Ambrose pushed Rollins back again and the two men began pushing each other until Reigns moved away to separate them. Acting General Manager Baron Corbin then booked a six-game against the main event between the two teams. Later in the locker room, Strowman threatened McIntyre and Ziggler that if one of them was flying in the air, they would "get those hands".
The shield def. Dogs of war via the falls of pines: One of the first arguments between the members of the shield led Strowman to the lining, including another collision between Rollins and Ambrose. The match featured a lot of chaotic facts and sequences, including tandem suicide dives on opposite sides of the ring by Ambrose and Rollins. Late in the game, Ziggler again pushed Rollins against his teammate, interrupting Ambrose's pinning attempt on McIntyre after hitting a Dirty Deeds. Ambrose almost made the same move on Rollins, until Ziggler hit him with a ZigZag for two counts. After McIntyre accidentally sent Strowman out of the ring with a Claymore kick, Reigns struck a spear on McIntyre before a triple-powered Shield bomb set up an Ambrose pin. An angry Strowman took Ambrose to power before taking a second shot at the Claymore while McIntyre moved away to leave his teammates behind him.
Ambrose's once-promising scenario became a "boy shouted wolf" scenario that began to look like Groundhog Day. Worse still, WWE Creative essentially wrote the same story in the relationship between the stubs, McIntyre playing the same role. That the plot ends in a creative and entertaining place, the path to get there continues to seem redundant, Raw does not seem to help exploit the fact that any combination of the six wrestlers in this quarrel tends to turn into an entertaining match . While this may be a sensible strategy to keep ratings, it's nothing more than a public announcement saying there's nothing new to see. Returning to the well with exactly the same main event as last week is the surest way to ensure that viewers about to go to bed early do exactly that. Three matches of the same show involving the same two teams – with incredibly similar results – is just lazy. Grade: C-
Bella Twins explains her round to Ronda Rousey
Rousey entered the ring and openly pleaded for the Bella Twins to come forward and explain why they attacked her last week. Nikki and Brie then came to explain how difficult it was for them to see an undeserving loser like Rousey introduced to the vanguard of the evolution that they had helped to create. "We made sure that" Divas "made sense, we made the word strong and powerful," Nikki said. "There are little girls in the crowd because of us and our reality show, and the championship you're wearing would not exist without us." Rousey replied by stating that the Bellas are "the embodiment of a stereotype – DMB, do not do anything Bellas", and that the Divas era that they represented was making her sick.
"The only thing you impressed me with was knowing where you could go with a minimum of talent," Rousey said. "You've filtered the names of your men, you've plagiarized and diluted their movement sets, you're not pioneers, you're calluses, you're relics of the past waiting to be eviscerated like a small pox. " Rousey then responded to Brie's assertion that she was jealous in pointing out that she had broken doors at Judo, Strikeforce, UFC and WWE all along. his journey. "The only door you hit was John Cena's room," Rousey told Nikki. "And he's finally thrown out the same door." Rousey challenged them to fight, but the Bellas waited until a five-man security team drove them to the ring area. Rousey beat and judo threw all five while Nikki and Brie ran away.
As long as you can look beyond Rousey's fight at the microphone to open up the segment and the weak dialogue that was given to him, the rest of that segment was nothing short of gold. The intensity of Rousey's voice during the presentation of such an upset promo may have been the best representation of her tough character, Babyface. Nikki was also strong in her defense of a Divas era that she was face to before the recent evolution, and slammed her point with a provocative tremor of her rear end directed towards Rousey. The segment worked because of the strong writing and real-life themes that made up his heart, including the fact that Bellas benefited from the relationships with Cena and Daniel Bryan and the opposition of two female eras (which, at in many ways, is a clash between Vince McMahon's and Triple H's promotional preferences regarding the WWE women's presentation). The only thing missing from this segment was Nikki and Brie who reduced Rousey's public failures with the same intensity as theirs. Grade: A-
What happened to Raw?
Brothers of Destruction respond to the D-Generation X: In a prerecorded promotional video that was more nostalgic than fierce, Kane said his respect for Triple H & Shawn Michaels "passed away with their dishonesty" and that the DX meeting "is built on a bed of lies". The Undertaker said that Michaels had retired, fearing for him, and had responded to Kane's prompt that they had three words in front of them before Crown Jewel saying that DX would "rest .. . in peace".
Ember Moon & Nia Jax def. Dana Brooke and Tamina Snuka via pinfall: This team match was created for the sole purpose of promoting a Royal Battle when paying at the Evolution Session on October 28th. The winner is awarded another title. Among the big names announced were Asuka, Carmella, Naomi and Torrie Wilson. An early confrontation between Jax and Snuka also seemed to provoke a future quarrel when Tamina hit a Samoan Drop on Jax. After Moon caught an eclipse on Brooke, Snuka dropped Jax with a kick. Moon then lit Jax by helping Snuka toss it over the top rope. Moon tried the same thing on Snuka from behind shortly before Brooke came to throw both on the floor.
Finn Balor def. Jinder Mahal via pinfall: With Bayley in his corner opposite Alicia Fox and the Singh Brothers, Balor quickly worked with Mahal via the Coup de Grace. Bobby Lashley came out to pose in front of Balor while the hype man Lio Rush was telling him, "You wish you could look like him."
Bobby Lashley def. Tyler Breeze via pinfall: The heel kick for Lashley continued to progress while he dominated Breeze in this squash match. Lashley took his time and posed between hitting a vertical suplex on one arm and a Dominator for the 1-2-3.
Trish Stratus & Lita share words with Alexa Bliss & Mickie James: Last week, the pair of heels resumed a Stratus & Lita promotion to promote their Evolution match. Bliss and James hastened to say how long it had been since one of the legends was over on a WWE ring – conveniently forgetting the first female Royal Rumble in January. Stratus & Lita responded with a boring answer meant to play against the Philadelphia public and Allen Iverson's famous "practice". Bliss & James initially accepted a request to show up and fight before leaving.
PDO def. The Conquistador falling in a handicap match: Kurt Angle has been featured behind the scenes wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a straw hat during his vacation. Corbin reminded him that it had run 12 years since his last WWE single match and had organized a 2-on-1 fight later in the evening to "help" Angle to prepare for the World Cup. world. Corbin watched from the banister with a grinning smile at Conquistador's mediocre attempt to lock his ankle in a vile defeat against squash. But after AOP unveiled to his prey that he was an anonymous jobber, Angle snuck behind Corbin to hit an Angle Slam on the scene.
Natalya def. Ruby Riott via disqualification: Before the match, the Riott Squad had trouble Bayley and broke the door of Natalya's locker room. Because of this, Natalya decided to bring Bayley and Sasha Banks to the rescue station. Sarah Logan forced the DQ by breaking Natalya Sharpshooter's attempt at Riott. After a scrum ensued, Bayley and Sasha Banks rallied to prevent the heels from hitting their finisher on Natalya and cleaned the house for her to stay high.
Elias interrupted by the crews of Apollo: Elias played guitar and insulted Philadelphia fans about their city and their beloved Eagles. Crews came out, who made a promo about keeping his mouth and temper shut for too long, while others, like Elias, passed him. After Elias removed his coat to attack, Crews dodged a clothesline and kicked, then pressed slam to unleash another quarrel (not anticipated).
