WWE Raw: Tensions increase between Reigns and Lashley, Rollins, Ziggler have revenge

June 26 (UPI) – Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley continued to help each other Monday on Raw as the two competitors contested who should be allowed to face Brock Lesnar for the World Championship.

Reigns and Lashley launched Raw with a war of words that took place with General Manager Kurt Angle and Constable Baron Corbin in the ring.

The Big Dog made the personal debate when he talked about how Lashley was a former WWE star who left the company to pursue a career in MMA but was less successful. Lashley, meanwhile, pointed out how Reigns had three years and several opportunities to unseat Lesnar and failed each time.

Angle, as tensions reached a boiling point, announced that "due to a contractual dispute with Lesnar, the multi-man match announced last week to determine the opponent's The Beast at Extreme Rules should be canceled. Angle then proposed that perhaps Reigns could face Lashley on July 15th at the pay-per-view event before the group was interrupted by The Revival.

The revival, upset by his loss to Reigns and Lashley last week, got revenge against the two heavyweights that took place immediately.

The Revival was more successful this week, however, as Reigns and Lashley, although they controlled the game, were arguing over who would finish the fight. While Reigns was scoring without Lashley's consent, Revival member Scott Dawson charged and took out Lashley before Reigns delivered a Spear. It was then that Revival member, Dash Wilder, took Reigns from behind for a successful pin attempt and upset victory.

In the main event, new Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler defended his title against Seth Rollins in a rematch last week when The Showoff had ended Rollins' race as a champion.

The very competitive match saw both men put all this on the line with Ziggler unable to put The Kingslayer despite his Zig Zag finishing maneuver. Rollins later recovered and delivered an impressive Superplex followed by a Falcon Arrow and a Ziggler pin before champion's partner, Drew McIntyre, came out of the locker room and pulled the referee out of the ring.

This caused the game to be disqualified while McIntyre and Ziggler attacked Rollins inside the ring. Reign then suddenly arrived on the scene to help his former brother Shield. Reigns Spear Ziggler on the entry ramp and then send McIntyre to the ring with a Superman punch that Raw has gone from the air.

Other highlights of Raw include Team B's Curtis Axel, who defeated team champion Woken Matt Hardy; Breaking Painters Rich and Rex Gibson; Natalya beating Alexa Bliss, champion of raw women; Riott's squad defeated Sasha Banks, Bayley and Ember Moon, which led Bayley to attack Banks afterwards. MoJo Rawley refuses to face No Way Jose; and Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens defeating Finn Balor and Baron Corbin via the countdown with Strowman later returning Owens' car in the parking lot.
