Here are your results from WWE Smackdown Live for June 26, 2018, with an open challenge to the US championships, the first match of SAnitY and the surprising comeback of Kane. Be here tomorrow for the Best and Worst column of Smackdown Live.
WWE Smackdown match results:
– The Miz opened the show with the Bludgeon Brothers on MizTV, where he explained how Daniel Bryan stealing the spotlight from the team champions led him to be attacked during Gauntlet's match last week. The Bludgeon brothers slammed the microphone from Miz's hand and Bryan came out to challenge them. Luke Harper accepted Bryan's challenge for later in the evening.
1. Rusev defeated Xavier Woods. Woods tapped on the hug after being hit by the Machka kick. Rusev made a promo on AJ Styles as fans chanted Rusev Day, AJ Styles.
2. Match Match of the US Open Challenge: Eric Young defeated Jeff Hardy (c) by disqualification. Hardy was in charge when the Usos hit the ring and attacked SAnitY. Young rolled out of the ring and joined the fight, leading to disqualification.
3. Usos and Jeff Hardy defeated SAnitY. Jeff Hardy landed the Swanton bomb for the fallen on Alexander Wolfe.
– Naomi and Lana discussed who is a better dancer before meeting the cast of GLOW.
4. Becky Lynch defeated Sonya Deville. Lynch took out the tap with Dis-Arm-Her.
– James Ellsworth made a promo on Asuka for attacking him last week. Paige eliminated Ellsworth, announced Asuka against Carmella for the Smackdown Women's Championship at Extreme Rules and Asuka against Ellsworth next week at Smackdown.
5. Daniel Bryan defeated Luke Harper by disqualification. Erick Rowan attacked Bryan to force disqualification. Kane did the rescue and reformed Team Hell No. Bryan and Kane took out the Bludgeon Brothers and then hugged him. Paige hit the ramp and made the Smackdown Tag Team championship match for Team Hell No at the Extreme Rules against the Bludgeon Brothers.
