Another Manchester show, which means a hot crowd and spoilers!
Heads of poster
While the battle for the belt is essentially suspended over the next few weeks, attention is turning to the battle for brand supremacy.
Gross introduced most of his team elimination team and entrusted the reins of his female team to her captain Alexa Bliss. Of course, this evening's official preview of WWE for SmackDown shows how Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Paige will answer for the blue mark. It seems like a lot of this story will focus on Shane as the World's Best ™, and would be a stub, after his World Cup win at Jewel of the crown last Friday. But Paige, who seems ready to play her version of the besieged face authority figure under the thumb of a nasty McMahon we saw from Mick Foley and Kurt Angle on Monday night, actually tried to take a step ahead of last week. She offered Charlotte Flair the captaincy of the women's team. And the queen refused.
Interesting…
Here on the Internet, we often lament the lack of stakes in the WWE stories. We emphasize how few characters change from one program to another. This is largely why I am fascinated by Charlotte shaken – because it is a logical example of her change by her last quarrel. But I did not expect it either, and in our first glimpse of this evolution on October 30, Flair really managed to do his best.
She still offers her best face, that of the company, and enough Flair for Paige to praise her match at Evolution. However, her rivalry, which has been going on for several months, grew out of the personal glory of her best friend – and Charlotte's accusation of having done the same for a long time – the champion on seven occasions is not ready to lead a team. She probably can not bring herself to trust four other women. Born out of the most publicized loss of her WWE career, she may not even be confident enough to take on the role of defender.
We do not know where she is going from here and it's intriguing. How will she recover the spotlight and how will she act when she gets there? SummerSlam's great women's blue match continues to be a gift.
The title scene
… seems ready for a few weeks of posture.
Sure Gross last night, Ronda Rousey fought back at Becky Lynch in their Female Champion against. Female Champion program. The Badlass is not going to stop there.
With the victory of Brock Lesnar at Jewel of the crown setting up a revenge last year Survivor Series, how will be WWE Champion AJ Styles convinces us that he can get a different result in Los Angeles on Nov. 18? The Phenomenal One gave the Beast its best recent memory match, but still failed. Is it a prediction or a spoiler to say that we will have the same thing this year?
Looks like Team members The bar has its opponents now that AOP is holding the straps of the red mark. The fights between Cesaro & Sheamus and Akam & Rezar should be excellent, but I'm really looking forward to Big Show / DRAKE MAVERICK shenanigans.
Seth Rollins has no story to tell, but it's quite similar to the course with Shinsuke Nakamura. United States Championship reign.
Other things to watch for:
– After using his title as soon as possible and being taken over by Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan is probably looking for revenge. And since Joe has lost his hand again in Saudi Arabia, he is probably looking to eliminate somebody.
– Miz suffered collateral damage en route to give Shane a trophy with which he could support him. How will the A-Lister respond to a supportive role? What about the big names who left even earlier in the final, including two pinned by Miz, like Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton? Fortunately another multi-player gimmick is looming on the horizon!
– It does not help The New Day or The Usos, who seems to be from outside and is looking for the pay-per-view system.
– And do not hold your breath for stories for the rest of the women's squad, but at least Paige (and maybe Charlotte?) Will have to reunite four or five to face the team of Alexa Bliss.
His Jewel of the crown fallout / Two weeks to Survivor Series!
What will you look for SmackDown Live tonight?
