WWE SmackDown results, recap, notes: the invasion of Samoa Joe marks a real episode

[ad_1]

With less than two weeks before the WWE went to Australia for the Super Show-Down card, SmackDown Live was held in the same Pepsi Center in Denver as Raw did on Monday. Personal rivalries are at the forefront of the blue mark in terms of construction for Australia, and without a doubt, they all took a giant step Tuesday night. But on what was one of the best episodes of WWE television on Tuesday, perhaps the most personal rivalry on the mark allowed Samoa Joe to make a scary promise that he made a few weeks ago.

Samoa Joe visits the Styles family

General Manager Paige was in the ring as a moderator of the contract signing for the main segment of the event. She first released AJ Styles, then called Joe, who did not appear. Styles called Joe a coward and said the non-disqualification, no stipulation of countdown is just in the challenger's alley. Just when Styles was about to take on Joe, he appeared on the Titantron – and he was far from the arena.

A few weeks after threatening to go to the champion's home, Joe had finally succeeded. He mocked Styles in front of his mailbox and even leaned on his steps before slowly making fun of the house; Joe even revealed a doll he had bought as a gift for the Styles girl. Joe said that Styles' actions after stealing his victory at Hell in a Cell had consequences, and Styles argued as vehemently as possible for Joe not to return home. SmackDown then provided one of the best results on WWE television. Joe said he was going to ring the bell and proclaimed "dad's house" when the screen went black.

It is certainly far from hyperbolic to say that it was one of the best results of television for quite some time. A few weeks ago, Joe warned that he was going to the champion's house, but he never arrived there. Well, he got there Tuesday night, paying off the promise that WWE had forgotten, and propelling this quarrel to an even more personal level. In the end, this Styles-Joe feud will remain one of the best of the year, not only for the company, but for professional wrestling in general. And without a doubt, one of the highlights that will be constantly packed with the quarrel will be Joe's visual ready to enter his rival's home to presumably torment his family. Grade: A +

Welcome to "Truth TV"

At first glance, as SmackDown opened this week, it appeared that we were starting with an episode of "Miz TV". However, R-Truth and Carmella occupied the ring with an episode of "Truth TV" instead. Truth said he was going to release the man who will face "the old host" segment, The Miz, at Super Show-Down for the right to be the # 1 candidate in the WWE Championship. Truth asked Daniel Bryan how cathartic it would be to defeat Miz in Australia, but Bryan could not give an immediate answer, mainly because it was time to make the 7-second break on the Truth and Carmella show. Things got more serious, with Bryan explaining how he had unfinished business with the WWE Championship – which he could only defend once before getting injured in 2014 – as well as The Miz after cheating for defeat Bryan. at SummerSlam.

Miz's music hit, and of course, he was curious to know what the truth was doing. Miz turned his attention to Bryan, admitting that even though he is the underdog that everyone loves, that 's also why he can not defeat him. The Miz wins at all costs and will do whatever it takes to upgrade to a WWE champion title, while Bryan does not have what it takes because he will not compromise his own moral code and will not tarnish his name. Truth interrupted Miz for taking too much time on his show and said that if he wanted to, he would have to fight him for it. In the gorilla position, Paige forced Miz out and fight for her show.

The Miz def. R-Truth via pinfall: Miz initially reached the Skull-Crushing final, but instead of immediately going around, he mocked Bryan – who was on the comment – finishing Truth with his own version of the knee.

The Bryan-Miz rivalry has evolved pretty well at this point, but it has become much more intriguing now that the opportunity of the WWE Championship is ahead of them. It was great to see Bryan recall the unfinished work that he had with the main title, while letting Miz explain the reasoning for which he does not believe that Bryan has the ability to reach the top of the mountain. Not to mention that this week's opening segment received an added bonus thanks to the hilarious antics of Truth and Carmella, which have been a nice surprise since their twinning for the Mixed Match Challenge. Aiden English has a little secret

Behind the scenes, Lana went to Rusev's dressing room before going into the ring. Rusev told his wife that he just wanted answers from English. In the ring, Rusev recalled the events of last week and said the betrayal was further aggravated by the fact that she had failed Rusev's day. He said before he took care of him, he wants the answers mentioned above. English – equipped with a t-shirt and microphone "Happy Aiden Day" – came out and told his former partner that he was struggling before getting together before showing a montage of their relationship. The English then surrendered and said that Lana had caused the wedge between them, and then we had a montage of all occurrences where English and Lana found themselves trying to help Rusev. Lana retaliated by telling the Englishman that he was simply trying to extricate himself from Rusev's fame, but the segment was broadcast when the English asked Rusev to ask his wife what had happened in Milwaukee.

After the advertisement, Rusev questioned Lana about Milwaukee when Becky Lynch interrupted them to talk about Lana's garbage before their match later that night. After Lynch's departure, Rusev thought about Milwaukee and did it again when he was going to wish Lana good luck just before his match with the champion.

Becky Lynch def. Lana via submission: Lana was able to attack, but the champion hit her at Dis-Arm-Her. Behind the scenes, the Englishman promised to provide video evidence next week of this Milwaukee incident he had uncovered earlier in the night.

Fans worried that Rusev Day's breakup was a little too early, but so far they have made a good start. Yes, the British took the obvious way in accusing Lana, but they made up for it with the dirty little secret of Milwaukee. This first segment with English as the traitor of the heel, we must now hope that the final benefit of the Milwaukee secret is something worthwhile. If that is not the case, then the quarrel could take a radical blow. But again, good start here. Grade: A-
