Survivor Series is one of the most anticipated shows of all year, as it is presented as the evening where Raw and SmackDown Live face each other. This year will follow the same format, and there will be intriguing matches with brand champions competing against each other and, of course, our traditional 5-on-5 Survivor football matches. What's particularly interesting this year is the way the map has changed dramatically in five days of the show. Keep reading to find out exactly what has fallen.
Survivor Series will begin with a launch show at 5pm. AND before the main map starts two hours later at 7 pm CBS Sports will be presenting the Survivor Series throughout the week, so feel free to stay with us.
WWE Survivor Series 2018 Matches
Heavyweight Champions – Brock Lesnar (Raw, Universal) vs. Daniel Bryan (SmackDown, WWE): In what was rather shocking and confusing, Lesnar took over the world title by beating Braun Strowman for the vacant Crown Jewel title. Even more shocking, Styles ceded the title to WWE on Tuesday night – five days before the show – ahead of Bryan after his victory over Bryan in a title match at Crown Jewel. The WWE has apparently decided that a repeat of the exciting Lesnar-Styles match of last year was not to be at the moment … maybe it will reserve it at WrestleMania 35?
Women's Champions – Ronda Rousey (Raw) vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown): In what was clearly the main event of Survivor Series, Rousey and Becky Lynch had a terrible war of words in the last two weeks that culminated Monday night when Lynch took Rousey backstage at Dis-Arm. -Her during the filming of Raw. Unfortunately, Lynch broke his face and suffered a concussion a few moments later. Tuesday, at SmackDown, chose Flair to replace her. Many thought it would be the first major WrestleMania women's tournament. That could still be the case, but it will not be the first time Rousey and Flair will fight. It will be Sunday.
Playoff Game Men's Survivor Series – Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley (Raw) vs. Shah McMahon, Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy (SmackDown): The teams are now ready for the match which, more or less, still tells the story of the McMahon brothers' duel. Stephanie McMahon wants her brother Shane to be avenged for claiming the World Cup at Crown Jewel. A victory for the Raw team Sunday would apparently satisfy the commissioner Monday night. There was an entertaining dynamic involving Bryan and Miz coexisting as captains, but that changed at the last moment.
Playoff Game Series Survivor Women – Natalya, Mickie James, Nia Jax, Tamina Snuka and Ruby Riott (Raw) vs. Carmella, Naomi, Asuka, Sonya Deville and TBA (SmackDown): The women's SmackDown team was compiled in one night when it took a little more time for the women's team and captain Bliss to force Sasha Banks and Bayley to fight for the last place before appointing Riott as fifth. member. The question of who would be the Raw Champions that they would face was resolved last Monday on Raw when AOP beat Seth Rollins, backed by Shield's former brother, Dean Ambrose, in the evening. 2 to 1 case for the titles.
Tag Survivor Tag Team Playoff Game – Bobby Roode & Chad Gable, Ascension, Lucha House Party, B-Team and The Revival (Raw) vs. Usos, New Day, Good Brothers, SaNitY and The Colons (SmackDown ): Raw's team was finalized for the re-entry Monday night. Roode & Gable earned the right to become captain of the team after winning a royal battle. The SmackDown team was completed Tuesday night. Usos defeated New Day on SmackDown Live last week to become the captains of the blue mark. They immediately chose New Day as members of the team to show their respect.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship – Buddy Murphy (c) against Mustafa Ali: Ali could not dethrone his friend Cedric Alexander when he was champion, so now the Chicago native will try to win Murphy's titles. These two players have already had great matches with each other this year, so this one in Los Angeles should also be a treat for fans since 205 Live gets its rare PPV slot.
