NFL DFS is rolling on into Week 10 and with it, our overall strategy for yahoo cash game lineup is changing once again. Pricing is tighter and deeper than usual, and at this point, there is enough to know which matchups are truly solid. As always, we're going after high-volume producers, and that's a stack of QB-WR stack, and we're also targeting a good matchup with an RB-WR contra-stack that could end up paying off. This will help us to avoid getting too hot at other positions, as well.
We're taking a bit of a different approach to the budgeting of the Yahoo, we're spending a lot of QB, RB, and one WR position and filling the rest of the roster with lower-cost options. This is a fairly popular strategy, as it affords the opportunity to get one's elite player at every position, but the "stars-and-scrubs" approach does come with some risks. And chiefly, those come from the lower-cost options we're filling out the bottom of our roster with.

Week 10 Yahoo Fantasy Football: NFL DFS picks for cash games
QB Drew Brees, Saints @ Bengals ($ 37). There are a handful of QB matchups to exploit this week, but this is a good idea and it should be a game that suits its passing well. Both teams rank top five in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to QBs, so Brees and Andy Dalton may have to throw a lot. Paying up for Brees on the road may be a risk, but it has multiple TDs in all but two contests this year. He provides consistency and volume, two things that are essential to have in cash lineups.
RB Melvin Gordon, Chargers @ Raiders ($ 35). The Raiders looked completely lost against the 49ers last week, and it appears that they have given up. Gordon has five TDs in his past three plays and has at least 120 scrimmage yards in each of those three contests. He's the second-most expensive RB on the slate, but his consistency and the excellent matchup make him well worth paying up for.
WEEK 10 DFS CASH LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings
RB Isaiah Crowell, Jets vs. Bills ($ 16). I know Crowell is not the most inspiring option, but he will still get volume. Elijah McGuire just returned from injury, the Jets may be careful not to overwork him. That should mean that Crowell still has at least 15 keys against a Bills defense that entered 9th week of the 11th-most FPPG to RBs and just allowed Jordan Howard to score twice. Considering that Crowell is often used as a red-zone hammer, with this game would be a smart move.
WR Michael Thomas, Saints @ Bengals ($ 39). I was considering stacking Tre'Quan Smith instead of Michael Thomas, but Thomas' upside is too great. He is averaging almost 10 targets and 110 receiving yards per game, and he has scored five times this year. The Bengals allow the fourth-most FPPG to receivers, so pairing Brees and Thomas with both in favorable matchups should give this cash lineup a high floor.
WR Golden Tate, Eagles vs. Cowboys ($ 16). You're rarely ever going to see this DFS contest. Sure, it's his first game with the Eagles, but he's going to be in the team's offense thanks to the bye week. Last time Tate played the Cowboys in Week 4, he logged eight catches for 132 yards and two scores. If he can do it half of that, it would have helped to keep him going.
WEEK 10 DFS GPP LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel | DraftKings
WR Mike Williams, Chargers @ Raiders ($ 16). I have a little contra-stack going with Gordon and Williams, but I'm comfortable with that. Philip Rivers likes to spread the ball around, and Williams has been a big TD threat for the Chargers this season. He has a score of at least 30 yards in the past two games, and while he only has one pass in his pocket, he has enough of a red-zone weapon to warrant this price. It's probably my biggest risk in this lineup, but I'm comfortable with it.
TE David Njoku, Browns vs. Falcons ($ 14). Njoku has at least 52 yards in five of the past six weeks. The Falcons have had trouble with athletic tight ends in the mold of Njoku this season, so this matchup and price combination is enough for us to trust him this week.

FLEX Ito Smith, Falcons @ Browns ($ 15). Do not sleep on Smith. He has scored in the past few weeks and has had a lot of splitting with Tevin Coleman. The Browns were just gashed by James Conner and the Steelers, so Smith has high upside – especially after he average 6.0 yards per carry against a great Redskins run defense.
DEF Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cowboys ($ 12). I know that the Eagles have not covered their lives well, but they are coming off a day and should be healthy and well-rested on that side of the ball. Their strong defensive line should be able to slow down Ezekiel Elliott and pressure Dak Prescott. They're the best low-cost option at the position, so we'll give them a shot.
