CARLSBAD, Calif. – CC Sabathia's Yankees run will go to 11.
The big lefty and the Yankees have completed a one-year, $ 8 million contract – pending a physical examination – for the 2019 season, according to industry sources. It will mark Sabathia's 11th consecutive year in pinstripes.
He is taking his physical on Wednesday.
Though Sabathia spoke in the second half of the season about being open-minded to pitching next season, which one he was planning to prioritize, the Yankees and the Yankees could not agree on terms.
