The gunman who killed two women and injured five others in a Florida yoga studio on Friday was fired from his substitute teacher position earlier this year after being caught inappropriately touching a student.
Scott P. Beierle worked as a substitute teacher at the Galaxy Middle School in the Volusia School District in central Florida on May 25 when he touched a student near his bra, according to school district records. The girl was "scared and hidden behind another student," say the records.
Beierle was taken to the school's administrative office but tried to leave school before making a statement. A sheriff's non-commissioned officer arrested him and took him back to school for questioning, according to the archives.
The county finally banned him from teaching in the district a letter dated May 30, citing "unprofessional conduct".
This undated photo provided by the Leon County Sheriff's Office shows Scott Paul Beierle. Two people were shot dead and five wounded in a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida on November 3, 2018, by Beierle, an armed man who was later killed, authorities said.

Beierle killed Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, 61, a faculty member at Florida State University; and Maura Binkley, 21, a Florida State student; when he opened fire in Tallahassee Hot Yoga Friday, the police said.
The school records of Volusia on Beierle found several other signs of problems.
Beierle had already been arrested several times for various reasons, including assault, according to the archives.
At least one parent had previously contacted the school district to voice concerns about Beierle.
A mother had contacted the school district to complain about Beierle in October 2017. The mother told the district that he was looking at the students in a strange way and that he "should not be teaching the kids ".
Earlier in her career, Beirele had been teaching English and Social Studies at Meade High School from 2005 to 2007, confirmed a spokeswoman for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. He has also worked as a substitute teacher at Leon County Schools (which encompasses Tallahassee) from 2015 to 2016, according to his curriculum vitae.
Beirele served in the army in Germany from 2008 to 2010, according to the curriculum vitae that he provided to Volusia schools.
Schools in Leon County did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Kelly Schulz, director of Volusia County Community Information, confirmed that Beirele had been working as a school district replacement from January 2017 to May 2018.
Schulz said in a statement that Beirele was "immediately released" after being accused of misconduct.
Schulz also defended the hiring practices of the district.
"The recruitment process of the Volusia County School District is stricter than is required by law," wrote Schulz. "For example, Volusia schools will not hire anyone with a conviction for felony or multiple charges of driving while intoxicated."
