You could buy a ticket for outer space from 2019 | Simplemost

If you could not fulfill your childhood dream of becoming an astronaut, it's time to dream again and look for stars – literally. While missions to Mars and beyond are still reserved for astronauts and trained rocket scientists, ordinary people will be able to purchase flights in space as early as 2019.

Thanks to the pioneers of commercial travel such as SpaceX and Blue Origin, you may be able to check the space on your list. However, it will cost you dearly.

Reuters recently reported that Blue Origin rates would likely be $ 200,000 to $ 300,000 per ticket for early space travel. These prices come from anonymous internal sources, so they are not yet official. However, they are probably a good basic figure for anyone who wants to seriously travel in space.

The next step is a piloted test flight for the Blue Origin New Shepard spacecraft. "We plan to start piloting our first test passengers soon," said June June Rob Meyerson, senior vice president of Blue Origin, at a public sector summit of Amazon Web Services. . In July, the company successfully tested New Shepard's evacuation system from its West Texas-based dashboard.

Flight plan

The New Shepard, named after pioneering astronaut Alan Shepard, is 60 feet tall and can accommodate six passengers. It is designed to fly into the suborbital space, which lies more than 62 miles above the Earth and will therefore offer incredible views. It is high enough to experience weightlessness, as well as to see the curvature of the planet through large windows on the capsule. After that, the pressurized capsule returns to Earth with parachutes for a "soft landing".

The Blue Origin capsule has a minimum of comfort. There will be no bathroom or toiletry bag. Passengers will not need it, however, the boarding journey will be less than an hour.

There are still potential risks for passengers. Space travel would expose passengers to space radiation and scientists are still studying how it affects different people.

New race in space

The sending of manned missions in space is an important step in the revitalization of space exploration. In fact, NASA has not launched a crewed mission since 2011, when it removed its shuttle.

These commercial flights are just the beginning. Some experts predict that hundreds, if not thousands, of competitors will enter the space exploration market. For the moment, the main actors are Elon Musk's SpaceX, Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin and Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic. There is literally a whole galaxy of potential with plans to orbit hotels and moon stations also in the works.

It all sounds exciting, but a $ 200,000 note is probably out of this world for most of us. However, there is another way to connect to the space. Next year, the Moon could have its own 4G network that will allow the first live HD video. Until then, we will only keep our dreams of astronauts alive by looking at the moon and the stars of the earth.
