Attorney General Ken Paxton also issued an opinion this year that the licensed election judges for carrying a firearm may do so while performing their official duties. The law requires election judges to "preserve order" and "prevent violations of peace" in polling stations.

Third degree crime
- Go to a polling place for purposes other than voting or talking to anyone the way others voted
Class B misdemeanor
- Tell people in a polling place – by speaking, signing or gesturing – how you are going to vote or how you would like them to vote.
Class C misdemeanors

Post, use or distribute placards or political promotions within 100 feet of a polling place during the vote.

Use a loudspeaker or other voice amplifier device to make a political speech or promote a candidate or political party located at a hundred meters from a polling place during the vote.

Wear a badge, tag or other emblem related to a political party or candidate within 100 feet of a polling place, including t-shirts and hats.
Not illegal but forbidden
- Use of a cell phone or other wireless communication device within 100 feet of a polling place.
