Kroger will partner with Geoffrey the Toys "R" Us giraffe to sell toys this holiday season.
Kroger, based in Cincinnati, announced Friday a partnership with Geoffrey Toy Box to offer an exclusive selection of children's toys to 600 Kroger family stores. Prices range from $ 19.99 to $ 49.99.
"We are excited to partner with Kroger to offer American consumers a neat collection of products from our beloved portfolio of brands," said Richard Barry, executive vice president of Geoffrey's Toy Box.
Geoffrey's Toy Box is a division of Geoffrey LLC, a subsidiary of bankrupt Toys "R" Us. The country's Toys "R" Us stores closed at the end of June. But about a month ago, the retailer decided to ignore the auction that would sell the remaining assets, according to court records.
Intellectual property would be bought by a group of investors, according to a statement by Geoffrey LLC at the time.

The partnership with Kroger is the first time that former Toys 'R' Us customers are seeing the brands resurface just in time for the holidays.
