The aspiring rapper, Young Greatness, died at the age of 34. The rapper, who had signed for Cash Money, was killed in a shooting Monday morning (October 29) outside a Waffle House home.

According to the WDSU, Theodore Jones, born of youth, was in town for a funeral when two suspects approached him in the restaurant car park. Witnesses claim that Jones was shot in the back as he was Facétiming his manager. His car was also stolen by the suspects. He was declared dead on the scene.

Jones was popular in NOLA and beyond thanks to the single "Moolah" of 2015, produced by Jazze Pha, the single that seduced southern lyricists as he entered the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016 and created a remix with Yo Gotti and Lil Wayne. The single came out under quality control but Jones signed an agreement with Baby Money Baby. He then continued with singles alongside Meek Mill, Wale and Quavo.

"The first time I heard it, I knew it was going to be great," said Birdman in a statement after Young Greatness's signing of Rolling stone. "He has an understanding of the melody that few artists have. It's the sound of the future. "

His death inspired many NOLA artists and Jones's friends to speak out against gun violence. See the reactions below.
