Young woman met during their royal tour has passed away

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received heartbreaking news this week; a teenage girl she met during their royal tour to Oceania passed away.

Eva McGauley, 19, was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the nasopharygen (neck cancer) at the age of 15 years. After being informed that the treatment had been effective and that her cancer had disappeared, the doctors then realized that they were wrong. The cancer had spread and he was terminally ill.

But, desperate to live her life to the full, this only prompted Eva to create a charitable association related to an issue close to her heart. After taking part in Wellington Rape Crisis, Eva decided to create EvasWish, a charitable organization to create an online messaging service for victims of sexual violence.

Because of all the incredible work that Eva did for women, she figured in a book titled 200 women. The book is full of stories about inspiring women who are changing the world, so Eva decided at give it to Meghan Markle when she met the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their visit to New Zealand.

On her Instagram page, Eva expressed how pleased she was to meet Harry and Meghan on their tour abroad.

"I spent the most extraordinary morning! I am very honored and grateful to have been invited to Government House to meet with Meghan and Harry this morning," she wrote, adding that the couple is "So nice and realistic that people really care about EvasWish's work."

Unfortunately, just three weeks after Eva met the duke and her duchess, her family announced the news of the teenage girl's death.

"We are sorry to announce everything that Eva left us yesterday morning," wrote her family on an Instagram post. "It was very fast and peaceful and she was surrounded by her loved ones.Thank you very much to all of you who followed Eva's journey and supported her dreams."

The tributes flooded the pages of the young woman's social networks, indicating how she was a source of inspiration for her followers. We are sure that Meghan and Harry will be truly saddened to learn of his passing.
