SAN BRUNO – Breathe easily, cat video lovers. YouTube is back.
The world's second-most-visited website ran out of power for about two hours on Tuesday night.
CNET reported that the breakdown began around 6 pm PT. Users trying to access and download videos have received an error message.
"Thanks for your reports on YouTube, YouTube TV and problems accessing YouTube music," YouTube said via Twitter. "We are working on solving this problem and we will let you know once it is resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and keep you posted. "
The failure was resolved shortly before 8 pm
"We are back!", Said the site in a follow-up tweet. "Thank you for all your patience. If you continue to have problems, please let us know. "

Some popular YouTubers seemed to take the measure of the failure.
"If Youtube is down, does any of us really exist?" Commented Seán William McLoughlin, best known of his 20.5 million subscribers tweet.
An email asking for additional information about the failure was not immediately returned.
