Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth Removed from PlayStation Store in the West when License Expires

The PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions of the strategic RPG and hybrid visual novel Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and more Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth have been removed from the PlayStation Store in the Western Territories.

A representative for Atlus, who released both titles in the west, confirmed to Gematsu that the titles were removed from the list because Atlus’ license fees had expired. Atlus had no information on the return of the games to the digital storefront.

Gematsu contacted developer Aquaplus as well as PC release editor DMM Games for more information. However, it is currently the weekend in Japan and we probably won’t have a response until Monday at the earliest.
