Valheim surpasses 500,000 simultaneous players, breaking four more records

Valheim is on an incomparable trajectory. The Viking-themed indie survival game has climbed the Steam charts and sold 3 million copies in an unprecedented 17 days. And people don’t just buy it on a whim; they also actively play it. On Sunday, the game hit 500,000 concurrent players, according to SteamDB, leaving in its wake the charred remains of four other all-time Steam player records.

Friday February 19, the game had already passed Postal and Grand Theft Auto V become the ninth most played game on Steam at the top, but now it has broken records of Among us, Life is Strange 2, Fallout 4, and Terraria to reach slot # 5, according to Steam Charts.

It will be an uphill battle from here: The four records he broke were in the order of 400,000, but the next record is the 830,000 player record. Cyberpunk 2077 set for launch in December. Beat Dota 2 and Counter strike, it would be necessary to cross 1.3 million players.

It seems entirely doable, however, considering how quickly the game has grown already and how it can suck you (and your friends) over and over again. There’s a huge, randomly generated world to explore and loads of stuff to craft and build, with up to 10 people working together. It’s fun, and with a remarkably shallow learning curve and a price tag of $ 20, I’d be surprised if it ended any time soon.

Valheim was built by a team of five, but they say PC player they will hire now.
