Chaos is great content, but Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter takes responsibility for the painful drama on the OfflineTV server Rust and exposes the consequences if it continues.
Rust is a survival multiplayer game and, as such, prone to PvP (player versus player) shenanigans – especially when OfflineTV partners with over 50 high profile streamers on a dedicated server. While Valkyrae claims to have personally enjoyed these antics, she acknowledges that things may have gone too far afterwards. drama with the introduction of Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel to the OTV server.
With xQc (and his notorious cat) shaking the pot and disturbing other streamers, Rae has spoken out and appropriated to continue inviting potentially antagonistic creators to the exclusive server.
In a two-part tweet, the 2020 “Content Creator of the Year” signaled that she would pay much more attention to invitations in the future. And, if the unwanted behavior persists, she will consider shutting down or resetting OfflineTV’s Rust server.
To be more specific, I really enjoy the chaos and the pvp aspect of the game, but the way people negatively interact with each other is the issue. That’s all! Hoping that things change today

“The drama, people are chasing me. I’m talking on TV like it’s just you and me. Like the lyrics to Kanye West’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” drama can ensue when treating the public domain as a private interaction. While Valkyrae has personally enjoyed her server’s beef and spices, she realizes that as her guests grow up, she needs to take some public property and master the… juice.
More importantly, that juice turned sour when xQc took on a relatively smaller streamer, ‘Ash_on_lol’, who then applauded with an even more profanity-laden response. A few F-bombs and a request that xQc not be “a f ** king piece of s ** t” later and Ash reportedly received death threats from passionate fans of the Quebec streamer.
This consequence was apparently unexpected and prompted an apology from xQc, in which it promised to no longer treat people on the server so badly, especially non-PvP creators. And, while Valkyrae had no personal issues with her demeanor (as indicated in her response to her tweet), she then decided it was time to nip the drama in the bud.
I don’t think killing is rude it’s part of the game: p chaos has been fun lol

As Valkyrae indicates in her various responses, she doesn’t find the murder “rude” and agrees that “the chaos was fun”. But she recognizes that other points of view matter, especially because it was she who “wanted to invite more”.
As such, Rae apologized to his “friends who didn’t like gambling” and threatened to take action if people continue to misbehave.
Based on other responses in his Twitter feed, it looks like a full reset or a full server shutdown is not yet on the horizon. Instead, the group is looking to establish an open world PvP with dedicated safe zones for those who aren’t feeling so spicy.
