After the clip of a never-before-seen collaboration with Lil Baby went viral, Meek Mill found himself in the throes of backlash. The Philadelphia rapper is seen in the clip rapping the line, “Yeah, and if I ever miss I go out with my choppa / It’ll be another Kobe, and the public was quick to denounce him for his choice of bars. Meek sounded provocative in his response and even shared a picture of a hat with Kobe Bryant and the names of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna to show that he wasn’t disrespectful, but he didn’t offer the apology that many think he should have given.

The controversy quickly dissipated and new viral moments took its place, but nearly a week later, Vanessa Bryant stepped forward to address the lyrics. “Dear @meekmil, I find this line extremely callous and disrespectful. Full stop,” Kobe’s widow shared on her Instagram story. “I don’t know any of your music, but I think you can do better than that.”

“If you’re a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband,” she continued. “It lacks respect.” Soon Meek resurfaced with a tweet. “I’m getting wild in this shit again … f #% k your feelings!” he wrote. It’s unclear what he’s referring to, but you can check out the articles below.
