A large health care company agrees to settle a multi-million dollar lawsuit after claiming it failed to provide Tennessee residents with proper care, resulting in infections and, in some cases, unnecessary strain.
Brentwood-based Vanguard Healthcare, LLC has agreed to pay more than $ 18 million to resolve a lawsuit filed by the United States and the state of Tennessee, according to a press release from the Justice Department from Tennessee and American lawyer Don Cochran. .

The United States expects total revenue collection of more than $ 6 million from Vanguard entities that previously filed for bankruptcy.
Vanguard has a chain of specialized nursing assistant facilities, including the Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Murfreesboro, the Glen Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Shelbyville and the Manchester Health Care Center in Manchester.
