Francisco Sucre, chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the National Assembly, reported that 300,000 Venezuelans were crossing the border into Colombia each month.
"We are talking more or less about a figure of 300,000 Venezuelans, who go through each month and stay, or stay in Colombia or go south of the continent," he told Union Radio.

He said 40,000 Venezuelans crossed the border between Colombia and Venezuela on Monday, including 5,000 in Colombia.
