60 days more extended economic emergency decree

This Wednesday will announce the decree of a further extension of 60 days of economic emergency and state exception in the country, informed the lawyer José Ignacio Hernandez.

The first economic emergency decree and state of exception was proposed by President Nicolás Maduro in January 2016 and each of its extensions was extended by 60 days, in which it was extended to more than 10 extensions.

One of the measures established by this decree is that it should be allowed to citizens the timely distribution and availability of bills and coins that are currently legal tender in Venezuela. This decree will come into force as soon as it is published in the Gazette.
