The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, Issue 2.18.204, is working on a new tool designed to detect and inform users of links that have suspicious feature, such as revealed the site specialized in the WaBetainfo messenger.
With the boom of services, belonging to Facebook, also cases of spam have increased : messages with links that present a risk either by cheating, phishing attempts, content with malware or even, news of doubtful reliability.
The suspect link etector that was discovered in the application code, will call Suspicious Link Detection and so it seems very soon to reach all devices with Android, for the moment in its beta version, until it is established in the final and stable version.
In no time, links will be blocked or censored, but in practice, the fact that they are marked with a warning message will prevent many users from accessing pages. dangerous to install any type of malicious software on their phone or mislead them.
