ATLANTA – Police said the former corner half of the Bengal Cincinnati, Adam's "Pacman" Jones, had been attacked during an altercation with an employee of Atlanta Airport.
Jarius, police spokesman for Atlanta Daugherty said that Jones had confronted Frank Ragin, an ABM Industries employee, after Ragin made a "gesture" to the football player Tuesday night at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Police said the words were exchanged before Ragin hit Jones with a clenched fist, causing a cut in Jones' face.
A cell phone video shows that Jones and Ragin exchanged several punches with each other. Jones finally hit Ragin on the ground with a blow to the face and then hit the employee one more time before a man intercedes to separate the fight.
Daugherty said that at some point in the fight, Ragin eventually hit a woman accompanying Jones, wounding his hand. Jones and his friend refused medical treatment
Ragin was arrested for two counts of assault and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment
Jones, once elected to the Pro Bowl, spent eight seasons with the Bengals. He has also played for the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys.
Although the police determined that Jones was not to blame, the NFL veteran had other problems on the court. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge last year after a confrontation with a hotel security team and a full-blown discussion against police officers who arrested him.
Police said that Jones kicked and He bumped his head while he was arrested for allegedly attacking an employee of the hotel. The NFL suspended Jones for a match for violating his personal behavior policy.
