She would be the first person to set foot on Mars

"I want to become an astronaut and be one of the people who will go on Mars," said Alyssa Carson to her father while she was only three years old.

His father had no idea that this seemingly abrupt statement would actually be the birth of a meaningful effort of a lifetime.

The 17-year-old man is about to be the first person to set foot on Mars. Alyssa Carson has always dreamed of space and is currently working with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), according to The Sun.

Carson, a native of Louisiana, trains hard to be the first person on NASA's mission to Mars 2033.

"The biggest challenge is the time and doing everything so young while I I'm in high school at the same time. "Continuing to coach at my age involves future difficulties, but up to now, I'm fine," said Alyssa in an interview for Teen Vogue.

Carson is the first person to visit NASA's 14 home centers and the youngest to graduate from the Possum Advanced Academy, thanks to which she is certified to go into space.

Project Possum Academy Training is an educational program for astronauts, which prepares humans to adapt to a life in the space.

In March 2019, at the age of 18, Carson will become the youngest candidate to enter the International Space University

"I started looking at videos of globe-trotters in the land of Mars. "The young woman from Louisiana also commented that she's never done the same things as other kids, like thinking about careers and wanting to be at home. Spacecraft in my room and wanting to see me there … professor or president

"I've always thought about becoming an astronaut, going to Mars, coming back and being a teacher."

Si Alyssa finally becomes the person traveling on the mission, she will board the NASA ship at age 32.
