The iPhone manufacturer said the fund will seek to promote the use of renewable energy in its supply chain which is widely distributed in various regions of the China.
The company and 10 of its suppliers and key industrial partners, such as Corning, Pegatron, Wistron and Luxshare Precision Industry, will make contributions to the fund over the next four years, said Thursday statement
The fund will be managed by DWS Group GmbH, the Deutsche Bank subsidiary dedicated to asset management.

The money will go to develop projects for a total of a gigawatt of renewable energy in China, said Apple.
