Venezuela won six medals, not counting swimming, on the third day of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games held in Barranquilla and placed third in the medal standings dominating Mexico on the host country.
The gold, one silver and three bronze were the harvest of the national delegation in the fight of yesterday.
Genesis Rodríguez and Julio Mayora, won three gold medals, while sprinters Yarubí Bandres and Johan Guzmán earned bronze and silver medals, respectively, in the 300-meter time trial, among women and men and the pair formed by Ali Leiva and Jackson Vincent, the bronze medal rowing was hung.
"I feel very happy with this medal, I have been training for six months so far this year, I hope to give the best of myself and be on the podium in the next competitions", said Bandres in statements issued by the National Sports Institute on the social network.
