Zimbabwe held these July 30 elections to elect the president after the overthrow of Robert Mugabe who was chief of state for 37 years.
D e not be a winner in the presidency with an absolute majority a second round is scheduled for September 8 this year. In addition, these elections envisage the vote of the legislative and municipal offices.
In the race for the presidency of this South African nation there are 23 candidates however, the conflict is between only two: Emmerson Mnangagwa current interim president, the African National Union of Zimbabwe and the Patriotic Front; and opposition candidate Nelson Chamisa, supported by the Movement for Democratic Change.

Mnangagwa, acting president, after the coup against Mugabe, could be victorious with 40% of votes, according to polls. Bet on expanding relations with China and Russia.
For his part, Chamisa expresses his intention to establish an alliance with the United States (US) and to conclude agreements with the Donald Trump administration.

Some five million 300,000 Zimbabwean citizens are called to date election, which has been described as key to the future of the nation by the African Union (AU)
