The priest of María Inmaculada Church, located in the city of Maracaibo, was arrested on Saturday, November 24 for having an intimate relationship with a 12-year-old girl, police said. Panorama.
The subject, identified as Iván Merino Padial, had a long-standing relationship with the girl since he had come to celebrate Mass at the Marabina Church, according to residents of the El Naranjal complex.
"The girl stayed long with the priest and arrived late at night at home," said a neighbor who did not want to be identified.
The person was arrested when a police officer from the state of Zulia (Cpbez) suspected a vehicle parked for a long time.
According to information reported by the authorities, two people engaged in lustful acts were inside the vehicle and then lowered them and identified a 12-year-old girl who was without a blouse.
It was learned that the girl, in addition to attending the adult priest, had engaged in public conversations with him through social networks and received gifts from him.
