Gustavo Vizcaíno, Director of the Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Immigration (Saime), assured that the agency was evaluating the possibility of extending the expiry date of the passport at 10 years old and five years old.
During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Vizcaíno explained that users who issue the document for the first time will benefit from the stipulated new term, while those who already benefit from it will benefit from an extension five years.
In addition, the director of Saime said he was waiting for certain approvals to implement this new measure.
