The Archdiocese of Maracaibo has repudiated the lascivious acts of a priest against a 12-year-old girl

In the text read by the Auxiliary Bishop Bishop Ángel Caraballo, it was announced the excommunication of Merino Padial, who will also practice no type of position in the Catholic Church, in Venezuela or in no part of the world, as detailed.

Bishop Caraballo apologized to the relatives of the victim and the Catholic community of Zulia and asked that the competent authorities take care of the case.

The priest was arrested late on Saturday, November 24, for having an intimate relationship with a 12-year-old girl, according to police authorities.
