SpaceBok It was designed by a team of Swiss students from ETH Zurich and ZHAW Zurich. It is a prototype four-foot robot, able to walk and jump, designed to be used on the surface of other worlds. It is currently being tested by ESA.

As explained by Spacebok, the member of the development team Patrick Barton:
Leg robots can cross unstructured terrain and could be used to explore areas of interest, such as craters, that rovers can not reach. As they are very versatile, they can change the way they walk to adapt to different terrains.
Jumping, although not particularly useful on Earth, could reach a height of four meters on the moon. This would allow a quick and efficient way to go from the front.
