Xiaomi has dozens of phones every year, but there are obviously differences between them. High-end terminals usually have better finishes than cheaper ones, though we sometimes enter swampy terrain.
Recently, we analyzed the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, a terminal of the family of the flagship product of the brand although it is not a high-end smartphone, nor particularly expensive.
The design and materials, far from the Redmi or MI A, are more economical in general. But what we did not expect is that one of the most striking elements of color is transparent. Literally
A unique back panel
In a presentation of the Mi 8 Lite, Xiaomi supposed to use a very striking gradient in the back part, which changed color depending on how it illuminated. And it's like that. Above all, it can be seen on the mobiles of golden and blue tones, but also in the dark that we tested. What we did not know was that the back panel was actually transparent and took on color when we put it on a dark surface, which produced an almost magical effect, as the video shows.
Xiaomi confirmed that it was so and even invited users to check, even if personally, I do not think it is a good idea to disassemble the phone to see it because it might stuck. to damage.
The process for achieving this is based on the use of several layers of very thin material that vary depending on the surface of the crystal to be examined.
It is clear that it is also in this type of design decisions that there are differences between Xiaomi's cheaper mobiles and those above, although their technical specifications are very similar. If you are interested in this terminal, we invite you to watch the video we made a few days ago:
