The accident killed 71 people, including 19 players, 14 members of the technical committee and nine officials of the Brazilian club. Bolivian pilots Alejandro Quiroga, killed in the accident, and Marco Antonio Rocha, currently on the run, were represented by representatives of LaMia.
The parents of the victims of the accident lodged an appeal in October, also in Bolivia, against the supervisory and control authority for pensions and insurance in order to prevent the expiry of the possibility of receiving compensation.
