Warriors guard Stephen Curry will return to the field Saturday for the Golden State Pistons' game in Detroit, the coach said. Steve Kerr.
But Curry will not play Thursday against the Eastern leader, the Raptors, in Toronto. He returned to practice earlier this week, but Kerr said coach Rick Celebrini was focused on being too cautious and giving his star two extra days of rest.
"He wants to play, he's ready to play … he's dying to play," Kerr said. "But prudence is the word of the day."
Curry has missed 10 games since his groin injury against the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 8.
Striker Draymond Green will also miss Thursday's game against the Raptors, Kerr said. Green will be released at least a few more games while recovering from an illness on a toe.
