The government will distribute more than 20,000 tons of Christmas food and Christmas

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced Thursday that more than 20,000 tonnes of pork would be distributed at Sovereign Field Fairs and local supply and production committees (Clap).

"Prepare legs for all Clap families at the national level, so I announce that over 20,000 tons of pernil will be distributed directly to Clap through Sovereign Fairs and Local Supply and Production Committees." (Clap), "he said from the Miraflores Palace.

He said that of the 20,000 tons, 10,000 are domestic production and that 10,000 were "guaranteed in time so that they do not sabotage like last year".

The President added that more than 3,000,750 tonnes of Christmas products would be sold at agreed prices.

"In the same way, we are going to get more than 3,000,750 tons of Christmas food for the hallaca du Clap at agreed and special prices, so we have guaranteed the pernil and the hallacas of our city," he said.

They will distribute toys, clothes and shoes

In addition, the president said more than fifteen million toys would be distributed to children across the country through the Clap.

"I already have in my hands more than fifteen million toys that we will distribute directly so that all the children of Venezuela, through the Clap, have their toy of quality," he said.

He also said that more than 35 million clothing and footwear would be distributed and marketed.

"We have made an effort and we have more than 35 million clothes and shoes that will be distributed and marketed directly by municipalities, communal councils, sovereign fairs and popular markets," he said.
