Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López, directed on Tuesday afternoon the act of promotion of 491 new colonels and ship captains of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces of Venezuela (Fanb).

"One of the values ​​we always value in promotion meetings is the value of loyalty, we do not promote traitors or corrupt people, or those who do not have the merits or have roots in their country. or in the Fanb. " assured the military leader during his speech at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas.

"It is not here that a piñata was given to a stick and that stars appeared, I say this so that we all know how rigorous it is to climb," said Padrino López.

"No extraterrestrials or gringo came here to evaluate and promote the officers, no self-proclaimed hatred nor those strange things that happen in national life," said the minister, apparently referring to Juan Guaidó, president of the National Assembly, and recognized by them as President of the United States and in 50 other countries. in the world.

"We have evaluated everything," he explained. "No promotion has been given," insisted Padrino López.

In his speech, the military chief mentioned "an alleged dichotomy: that of knowing whether or not to be on the right side of history". He added: "The good side of history, as we emphasized Bolívar, should not be a pitiyanqui, nor a pro-imperialist, it's to be anti-imperialist".

"Does being on the right side of history use the name of Venezuela to ask for intervention and humanitarian aid, then steal what they asked for? what is the good side of the story? "said the minister.

In total, 21,000 members of the Fanb have benefited from promotions throughout the country, according to an informative note from the official VTV channel.
