NASA reported that a spatial rock of more than 200 meters in diameter had 62 trajectories "of potential impact" with the Earth between 2023 and 2117; however, the chances of doing so are very low.

This asteroid is named 2018 LF16 and was first seen in June of this year. The closest possible collision is August 8, 2023; August 3, 2024 and August 1, 2025 are other dates of possible impact. In conclusion, there are 62 dates in which the rock could hit Earth, although, according to the British newspaper ExpressThe risk of this happening is quite low.

"According to NASA calculations, there are 30,000,000 chances that LF16 is crushing on our planet, 99.9999967% chance of failure," they explained.

The medium ensures that, according to the Turin scale, the asteroid is a "zero", which means that the possibility that she hits the Earth is nonexistent.

Currently, this rock traverses the space at a speed greater than 15.13 kilometers per second.

The impact force of an object of this size could be as detrimental as the explosion of the 50-megaton tsar bomb, unleashed in 1961.
