A new computer threat appeared with the ability to steal data that you had stored in the Internet browser, where there is information about your credit cards.

Here is Vega Stealer, a malware that steals information stored in Chrome and Firefox, a variant of a previous virus, the August Stealer.

This virus has been spread through a distributed e-mail campaign with some of the following issues in English: "Online Store Developer Required" (Developer Required for the Online Store); "Back to article" and "Our company needs online store from scratch" (Our company needs an online store from scratch)

The mail arrived at businesses but was later extended to reach different users

The messages came with a malicious attachment called brief.doc or engagement.letter with macros that downloaded the virus. This executable file has been installed in the "Music" directory under the name "ljoyoxu.pkzip".

This type of virus takes advantage of a potential interest that it can generate. For example, campaigns that offer Netflix at $ 1 for a year and others.
