Baker Mayfield signs his recruit contract with the Browns

CLEVELAND (AP) – Quarterback Baker Mayfield signed his rookie contract with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday.

This year's first overall draft pick resulted in a four-year deal of $ 32 million a day before the Cleveland players showed up at the training camp. Cornerback Denzel Ward, fourth overall pick, still has not agreed.

One of the most popular and controversial players in college football, Mayfield is not expected to start his first season with Cleveland. The Browns have acquired Tyrod Taylor in an exchange with the Bills and plan to use it until Mayfield proves that he is ready.
