Banesco announced Wednesday that bank account transactions on the digital platform could be carried out from abroad for individuals.

The banking entity stressed that the action had to be notified on the electronic platform and did not require the sending of documents to an agency. This action must be carried out if the client plans to leave the country for a long time or indefinitely.

"In the travel notification, accessible via the BanescOnline Management / Needs Tracking option, the customer must indicate the place and time during which he will stay out of the country, in accordance with Circular No. SIB-DSB- 14539, published by the Superintendency of Institutions of the Banking Sector (Sudeban) on August 27, 2018, "the statement said.

Users of this bank had reported that internet access to their bank accounts had been blocked abroad, preventing them from managing their movements in the bank.
