Catherine Zeta-Jones confessed that the sexual abuse allegations made by a journalist earlier this year against her husband, Michael Douglas, had "destroyed" her family in one way.
"My children and I have been deeply devastated by these accusations," British filmmaker "The Sunday Times", the Oscar-winning actress, has been quoted as Best Supporting Actress for "Chicago".
Zeta-Jones is currently in a very difficult situation, being one of the leading representatives of the # MeToo movement.
"I find myself in a difficult position," he also said: "For every unfounded accusation, the movement dates back 20 years."
Journalist Susan Braudy has accused Douglas – married to the actress since 2000 – of masturbating in front of her at a meeting in 1980.
In the same interview, Zeta-Jones commented on her husband's and her two children's comments on the charge.
"He told us that there was no history there and that time would prove him right, and that was the case," he said.
