At the meeting held in Geneva, Negret spoke of the three million Venezuelans who left their country to escape the economic, political and social crisis, according to UN figures.

Of these immigrants, 2.4 million are in Latin America and close to one million have settled in Colombia.

The defender also spoke about the implementation of peace agreements between his government and the FARC guerrillas, now converted into a political party.
