Rome .- The director Carlo Vanzina, who with his brother Enrico has signed many box office successes of the recent Italian popular comedy, died in Rome at the age of 67 because from an illness, reports the family.

Vanzina was the son of director and screenwriter Steno, author of some of the country's most famous comedies, and his father inherited a love of cinema and that kind of popular entertainment.
